Is it OK?
Or I should write as below:
"I resign from my post as Asst. Engineer."

resign yourself to (doing) something

to make yourself accept something that is bad but cannot be changed [↪ resigned]:
Josh resigned himself to the long walk home.
At sixteen, I resigned myself to the fact that I �d never be a dancer.

When you resign from a position, that means you �ve given up the position.

Answer to your question should be: "I resigned from the post of Asst. Engineer."

Are you wriring a letter of resignation? Or was the resignation in the past?
 
If you are writing to resign from a position you can say:
 
I wish to resign from the position of
 
I would like to tender my resignation from the position of (more formal)
