A question to my Indian colleagues

Hi dear Indian friends. At school we want to organize a meeting with our young students parents and  we decided to offer them a snack. Many of our students are from India and they follow different religions.
My question is: is eating fish forbidden by any of those religions?
I ve checked the internet and I didn t find anything against that sort of food, but my colleagues and I must be sure not to act wrongly.
Thanks in advance for the help you ll give me.
Ciao.

Do Hindus eat fish, then? In your place, Mariannina, I would keep it vegetarian.

Thank you Gogar.
Lynn, that s the problem because some eat fish (tuna in our case) and some don t. I asked them and, again, some answered with a clear "Yes, we eat fish" and some couldn t say if it is forbidden or if it i depends on a personal choice! Wacko
Well, that s what I thought, it s better to keep it vegetarian!
Thank you dear friends for your help. Hug
