I hate to be a pedant, I really do, but I īve seen this so many times..... Shouldn īt it be World Teachers � Day and not World Teacher īs Day? I īm actually not sure any more! Can somebody explain?
On the other hand, maybe it is World Teache r īs Day .... If so, who is that teacher? I think we should be told.  |

Hello, Lynne, in my country it īs Teacher īs Day (singular, like it īs a general notion) and I sometimes fall into the trap of direct translation (as obviously do other fellow Ukrainians... and not only them (they?):)
