In my opinion Welcome set is not the right option for kids because they dont like the characters... perhaps fairyland can be a nice option .....

Faityland is great! I taught it to pre-schoolers last year.
 
I don�t know if you�re aware of a new series called Access. One of my colleagues is currently teaching it. She says it�s good. It�s based on the communicative approach of teaching. She�s teaching access 4. This might be suitable for 5th grade students. Take a look.
