Literature question

Hello!
Has anybody by chance read The Quickest Way Out of Manchester by John Wain?
Is it good?
I m member of a reading club and each member has to choose and prepare for the next meeting of the club a short story (in a book or a short book) Another member of the club is going to take it home and read it.
Could anyone tell me what is Wain s story about? I don t have extra time to read it myself :/
Thanks!

Hi Carinita!

I have just come across with this link:

http://www.newyorker.com/archive/1960/01/16/1960_01_16_039_TNY_CARDS_000265694

might be useful.

Yes! I ve checked that out but I don t understand the connection between the article and the short story. By the way, I ve found another story, which is shorter and is quite interesting: "Chance" by A. J. Alan
