							| Conversation Trouble!!! Advise Please!!!
 |
							| Hello fellow teachers!!! I have a problem that I have been dealing with since I started my new job. I have all ages from 2-17years old. My students come to me as an after school program for extra learning. They are all very intelligent and have a pretty good hold on the English Language at times. I mainly have to have conversations with all of my age groups. Its very difficult to have conversations with a 3year old and its difficult to think of the key phrases to teach them every month. I especially have a hard time with my 10year old-13year year old groups. These students have been studying since they were 3years old and don t need the basic sentences.
So now for my question!!! Please anyone let me know what I can do about this. I need conversation questions that I can have with my students:) Please help me to come up with more to ask my students. I am desperate since there is little information on having conversations with extremely intermediate to advance students. Thanks!!!

							| We like to use stories. Read the stories and talk about the characters. Talk about what the characters could have done or changing the characters and endings in stories. I also look online for newsy events that affect that age group. Of course, this would be tricky with the little ones. With very young children, games, I think, are the key. Getting them to use their English without getting bored is a challenge. Best of luck : ) | 26 Jul 2009
