							| Cartoons for very young learners
 |
							| HI there!   I ve just discovered some cartoons named Peppa Pig, they are aimed at very young learners of English (I think) and they are fabulous. So I strobgly recommend them if you use videos in class.   NOw, my question is: Do you know about any other cartoons suitable for young learners (or Primary)?   Thanks in advance,   Silvia | 28 Jul 2009

							| I m a huge fan of Manny Manitas (personally - I haven t actually tried it in class!).  You can probably find him on youtube - he s a Disney character who lives in an English-Spanish speaking town.

							| Kids love Pocoyo - not much talk there, so if they re very little... and try this by all means, for ideas and materials http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/characters/
You know what I did with some elementary kids once, and it was a blast - we watched Mr. Bean and they synchronised it - they had to say what the people on the show would say if they used words (you can also use Mr Bean cartoons) - there s nothing like laughter to get things going... | I love Peppa the Pig as well.  Another good one is Postman Pat and Balamory.  I think you can get them on the cbeebies website as previously suggested.  Another one there is Mr Maker.  I sometimes have craft times and we talk through what we are going to do to practice vocabulary and then I put the video on and then we all make it together.  My kids at school love it and they learn loads.     | 28 Jul 2009
