							|   It s pretty morbid, but most students knew the words when I was a kid:   (Im not sure what the song it is sung to is called, "Glory Glory Hallelujah" or "The Grapes of Wrath", something like that)   My eyes have seen the glory of the burning of the school, We we have torchered all the teachers, we have broken all the rules. We are marching through the office just to kill the principal, our truth keeps marching on.   Glory glory hallelujah, tecaher hit me with the ruler, So I hid behind the door with a loaded 44 and there ain t no teacher no more. | 13 Sep 2009

							| Hi, hi biil2 joy, Hi Douglas, Hi Lady

I know both songs with different lyrics, obviously the first one, as I am a non native speaker, I was taught the official version and I have Cd, form Fischer Price with a pretty version of " Oh Dear, what can the matter be ?
As it concerns to the second one, Douglas, I am pretty sure the song you refer is Glory glory hallelujah
I turned my desk, my shelves, my whole study upside down, cause I know I have some very, very old copies of the lyrics ( original ones ????, don t know, but I was about 14 or 15 when I learned the song, with some lyrics that, my teacher told us, were not English, but Scottish). They were a little strange to me, but now, that I didn t find those old copies, I am going to try and write something of what I remember from this very cheerful song. It was something like this:

John Brown s body lies a-mold ring in the grave
John Brown s body lies a-mold ring in the grave
John Brown s body lies a-mold ring in the grave
An his soul goes marching on

 Glory, Glory! Hallelujah!
 Glory, Glory! Hallelujah!
 Glory, Glory! Hallelujah!
 His soul goes marching on

We ll hang Jeff Davies in a sour apple tree
We ll hang Jeff Davies in a sour apple tree
We ll hang Jeff Davies in a sour apple tree
 As we go marching on

 Glory, Glory! Hallelujah!
 Glory, Glory! Hallelujah!
 Glory, Glory! Hallelujah!
 As we go marching on

The stars of heaven are looking kindly down
The stars of heaven are looking kindly down
The stars of heaven are looking kindly down
On the grave of old John Brown

Obviously, there is a stanza missing, but I can t remember it

He gonna be a soldier in the army of the Lord.
