							| Dear Fadia, I ve been preparing a girl for the IELTS test for a few months by giving her the actual tests and audio material which you can download for free from:

 http://avaxhome.ws/ebooks/eLearning_book/Cambridge.Practice.Tests.IELTS-6-pdf.rar.html
 http://avaxhome.ws/ebooks/cultures_languages/ielts7.html

If s/he is not going to study there, then she needs to practice LISTENING, SPEAKING, GENERAL TRAINING READING AND WRITING  tests. The answer keys are included.

Your friend should work on the tests intensively because it can really get tricky, often it s not the matter of knowing the language but rather small things like spelling (capital or small letter, hyphen or no hyphen? etc). I ve been doing them with my student and hardly ever got maximum points! So, get used to the format of the tasks and questions, and learn how they re thinking. Good luck!

 Regards,
 Marta
