I didn �t know the word, but this is what I found in

"Shawty" is the first single off of Plies debut album, The Real Testament. The track features T-Pain and is produced by Drumma Boy and Ensayne. The video premiered on 106 and Park and MTV �s Discover & Download. The video features celebrity cameos from Rick Ross, Rich Boy, Edgerrin James and Jevon Kearse. The track samples Earth, Wind & Fire �s "Fantasy".
Shawty is a southern name for "baby".
