A person from the Republic of Ireland is Irish and a person from Northern Ireland is also Irish, right? |

That �s a complicated question. Depending on who you ask, you would get different answers. Northern Ireland is part of the UK but not of Great Britain, and of course it �s on the Irish island. Some people there have Irish passports, they would call themselves Irish, and some have British passports and would call themselves British. There are complicated historical and political reasons for this. I guess you can say to your students that people from NI are Irish - if none of your students are British, no one should get offended!
