Hi everybody,
I �ve two questions concerning word order (adverbs and phrasal verb)
and I hope you can help me:
1. I completely disagree. OR I disagree completely.
I �m not sure where I have to put the adverb. Is both possible?
2. I hope you think over my points. OR I hope you think my points over.
Do I have to split the phrasal verb or not?

If the particle is an adverb you can seperate the phrasal verb.Over is not an adverb,it is a preposition.İf it is a preposition you can not seperate the verb. |

Hi Claudia,
As regards manner adverbs, they should follow the verb. However, you can sometimes use them before the verb for emphasizing purposes.
Now, when it comes to phrasal verbs, you have to know which can be split and which can�t.
In the first case you should place the object after the verb always it is short (one, two words). Otherwise it should go after the phrasal verb.
When the object is a pronoun it must always go after the verb.

Think this subject over, please.
Think over the subject we have been discussing, please.
