							| Prepositions problem!!!
 |
							| Im confused now and I need your help.
Whats better? This is the best day in my life or this is the best day of my life?

I would say of my life cause that is what Ive learnt from songs... but which is grammatically better?

Ive already joined the group on FACEBOOK!

 Thanks!!!

							| Thanks Zora, but then, dont you say "hes the best student in the class" or even  "Shes the best teacher in the world?" I only need to know why.

 Thank you

							| Yes, we do say that...but the difference here would be "in my life" would mean the same as "during my lifetime" whereas "of my life" refers to a specific moment in your life.
I hope that helps clarify things a bit.

							| I think that "this is the best day in my life" is the correct answer because the day is a period of time in life and Ive never heard or seen day of my life   I hope that I helped | 6 Nov 2008

							| That was the problem, Missola.
I came across both "in my life" and "of my life" but thanks to Zora Ive got it clear now. Thanks to you too, Missola for helping me.
