							| to make listenings
 |
							| Hi there,   Some weeks ago someone told about a website where you can write a text and is readed by an English voice. I can not finde it and I would like to make a listening activity using it. Do you know what I mean?   Thanks a lot | 10 Nov 2009

							| Aftab, the software you suggested is amazing!! (It can even read a text in my native language and it is hilarious!) But, of course, it is excellent for reading coherent English texts!
Frenchfrog, the sites are great, especially because we don´t have to download the file but the player is integrated into the site. I love the possibility to choose different accents.

 Thank you!

							| May be you referring to this:
 http://www.odiogo.com/sign_up.php

You must sign up and have a blog. You upload the texts you want, in your blog, and, let us say, for a normal text, not very long one, in 24 hours, you ll have the audio. You can use it via net, or make a download of the audio. It s free.

							| text to voice software is installed as standard on all windows (Xp and above).
You can download programs that will tap into this like

To demonstrate that it is there on your PC without installing anything:
Start / Control Panel / "Text to voice" or "Voice"
On the text to voice tab type the text and press "Test Voice".
