							| Hi people how do u do? Let s see if someone can help me with this situation... I want to record some texts read by me to do a listening activity with a student that I have with some listening problems. I want to put her listening and fill in spaces with words that aren t in the text. Is there any program that I can download for this? I know some sites where I write a text and then a voice reads teh text but the problem is that they have a maximum characters and so it doesn t suit my needs.   thanks in advance for your help...   Have a great day   P.S. does any of my Portuguese collegues teach 10th graders with the booh LOG IN by Areal Editores? Send me a message if u do   Hugs | 15 Nov 2009

							| In my opinion, one of the best sites for recording your speech is http://www.podomatic.com/featured You just have to sign in, and that s it! Start recording the next moment!

 Good luck!

							| I have another suggestion:
 - Go to http://www.esl-lab.com/ and choose a text that suits your ss level or the topic you want to use.

 - Copy the mp3 file (with the text audio) to your computer right-clicking on the link.

 - Copy the text and paste into a software like hot potatoes, it helps you prepare several kinds of exercises.

 - In hotpotatoes, just highlight the words / expressions you want to take off.

 - The software allows you to create definitions for the words in the gaps.

 - When you finish, just click "export to print" and the program will copy everything.

 - Open a word document and choose "paste".

 - You ll have the gap-filling, definitions, missing words (in alphabetical order, and the original text on the last page.

 - Burn a CD with the audio.

 Done!

 Hope it helps.

							| There is also an option to record your voice in Power Point. Find the option in the tool box under "pictures" (I think it s called so in English, I have a Swedish version). So you can also have pictures as a background. Good luck. Y. | 15 Nov 2009
