							| How shall I put it?
 |
							| Well, this question will be difficult to ask because I m looking for something whose name I don t know! It s a sort of rhyme used for example to choose who s going to be the first player in a game, or in any situation in which you have various elements to choose from and you must pick one.
I hope you understand what I m referring to... If you do, what is this kind of short text called? And do you know any examples in English? Actually a student translated a French one literally in her dialogue and of course it doesn t make sense! So I need your help to correct that part, please.

 Thanks!

							| I know there is a song that goes:Hello,

Eeny, meeny, miny, moe,Catch a tiger by the toe.If he hollers let him go,Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
My mother told me to pick the best one,And you are not it!
Not because you re dirty,Not because you re clean,Just because you kissed a boy/girl behind the magazine.
I m not really sure!My mother told me to pick the very best one,And that is Y-O-U.

Can some native speakers help us , please?

 bye.

							| That s exactly what I m looking for !!! I d heard of the eeny, meeny stuff but couldn t remember it well enough to search it in google or use it as a clue to express my question more clearly.
Does anybody know what to call these, apart from counting rhymes which are a specific type?
