							| more clever or cleverer?
 |
							| Hi everyone,Some days ago I saw in an article the comparative "cleverer" and I was wondering why it is done in this way, because what I have always been taught is that when an adjective has two or more syllables you have to add "more" before the adjective ("more clever"). I have also seen that this happens to "simple". Why does this happen? Could you explain it to me? Thanks in advance, Paola | 2 Dec 2009

							| THE ADJECTIVE "CLEVER" IS ONE OF THE EXCEPTIONS. THE COMPARATIVE AND SUPERLATIVE CAN BE CREATED IN BOTH WAYS. OTHER EXAMPELS ARE: NARROW, QUIET, SHALLOW, SIMPLE. HAVE A NICE DAY. | 2 Dec 2009

							| IF YOU ARE DEALING WITH AMOUNT, IT IS LITTLE - LESS -LEAST. IF YOU ARE COMPARING SIZE, YOU SHOULD USE LITTLE - SMALLER - SMALLEST. JUST IN CASE, I LOOKED IN THE INTERNET. CHECK THIS TO BE POSITIVILY SURE. BYE | 2 Dec 2009
