							| Well, as far as I know (and I �ve been doing some research) both "abacaxi" and "anan�s" are referred to as "pineapple". The Portuguese use the word "anan�s", The Brazilian use the word "abacaxi". And although we make a difference between them, not only because of the price but also because of thre sweetness, there is only one word in English and that is "pineapple". |  8 Dec 2009

							| Ananas is alike
abacaxi but ananas is a bit smaller , yellowish , sweeter . Interesting
that last week I bought a pineapple and when I got home and cut  it  I realized that actually it was an ananas . At supermarket
it was written Golden Pineapple , maybe it is the way they distinguish pineapple
