Hi!! I�m in doubt in regards to a sentence to be written in reported speech
Can someone help me please....
The sentence is:
Direct quote:
Allan said: " I didnt come to the party because I felt sick"
So in reported it would be???
Allan said he hadnt come to the party because he felt sick
Is that right??

Hi,
I think your sentence is fine! It is changed from past simple to past perfect which is correct

You have to change all the past verbs into the past perfect so your sentence would be: He said that he hadn �t come to the party because he had felt sick. I hope you are satisfied. |

I think that you could also say: Allan said he hadn �t come to the party because he had felt sick. |
