							| Dearest Teachers ,   I am quite confused of the appropriate term to be used regarding the singing activities held in school which was in group/per class . Which is the right term: Chorus Festival or Choral festival? Pls do enlighten me . Thank you. |  14 Dec 2009

							| It really depends on personal preference as they both are concerts/festivals for groups of singers. 
 I like  �Choral Festival � because a  �chorus � can also be many more things besides being a group of singers.
 �choral �, however, generally only means something that is sung or performed by a chorus or choir.
 
 I �m teaching music this year & have recommended we call our singing festival a  �choral festival � because of this distinction.

							| It is usually called a Choral festival. You sing in a choir but have choral concerts.
 A chorus is also part of a piece of music, often the B-part that comes
