							| Watch = when you are putting all your effort of looking at something over a period of time i.e. watching a film or a football match
See = When you arent really meaning it, just whatever is in your vision at the time i.e. you are walking down the road, when you see a coin on the pavement
Look = When you are specifically putting your attantion on something for that particular moment i.e. looking at a pair of shoes in a shop window
 Hope this helps!

A good reply Stuart. Marwan, have you tried Googling you question. Very often you ll be pleasantly surprised at the results. Enjoy. | 6 Jan 2010

							| Hmm, good question Silke. I suppose watching does not imply that the thing is moving somehow. You gave a good example about stilettos

							| To look is to make an endeavor to see, as in the case of darkness, we may look without seeing. To see is to become conscious of an object of vision, as in the case of a flash of lightning. So we may see without looking. To watch is to observe with the aim of seeing.   | 6 Jan 2010

							| I agree that you can only watch something that moves or changes in some way.
You can watch paint dry or you can watch television, a sunset, a race, etc.

"Like watching paint dry" is a popular idiom to describe something very boring.
