What �s the difference between it �s fun and it �s funny?

fun = enjoyable, pleasant
funny = amusing
For example:
It �s fun to watch "Mr. Bean" or "Mr. Bean" is great fun! = it �s a pleasure, an enjoyment to watch (the program) Mr. Bean.
Mr. Bean (the character) is funny = he amuses us, he makes us laugh.
You can say: I went to the park and it was fun - it was a pleasure, it wasn �t especially "funny".

Hi,
You can have "fun" many different ways: watching a movie with friends, doing something exciting, or something that you have never done before. We would then say, "That was fun!"
However, if something is "funny," it makes you laugh or smile. One thing to remember is that not everyone thinks that the same things are always funny. For example, some people laugh at slightly inappropriate jokes, but others would say, "That is not funny!"

fun is a noun (mostly)
funny is an adjective (or adverb) |
