							| Road vs. Street
 |
							| Hi,
it may seem silly but we started a lesson about living and my little sts ask me what exactly is the difference between street and road. And because I am not sure about this, I promised to them I will ask here and tell them on Monday. So please, could you enlighten me and tell me the difference between these two words (if there is any?).

Thank you very much for your help, Michaela

							| A street is a road with houses and buildings   A road does not have to have houses or buildings on it.  Strictly speaking it is the hard surface that cars drive on. | 20 Mar 2010
