							| Hi there Regina,
First and foremost, I d say both sentences should be in the Zero Conditional form. Although, the first one is technically correct too.

The Zero Conditional is used to give directions/commands or suggestions or when something is an (absolute) truth.

i.e. If you heat water, it boils.// If you mix red and blue, you get purple.

If you need help, ask Peter. - suggestion
Go to bed if you are tired. - command/direction

Do that if it helps - would be a suggestion.

Do that if it ll help - is also a suggestion but more of an uncertain one. I d even venture to say its a Mixed Conditional - between the First and the Zero. It s not that common though that these two forms are found together. The Imperative form usually goes with the Present and not the Future form.
