Hi All,
I am doing an assignment and I need some quotes on the skimming and scanning (reading).
I have been advised that Scott Thornbury�s A-Z of ELT has some good extracts on these topics. I have gone to many librarys and can not find this book. Has anybody got this book and could provide me with a quote?

Nope.
Trying to remember where I read about it during my CELT course... most of the books neglect skimming questions.
If it �s a text with numbers I usually tell the students to find all the numbers first and make it a race.
