TESOL means
Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages.
It is a non-profit association of teachers of English. It was founded in 1975 by Mary Finocchiaro and Renzo Titone, who were pioneers in the field of foreign language teaching. It is one of the 96 affiliates of TESOL, Inc., a global education association with 13,000 members in over 120 countries, recognized as a non-governmental organization (NGO) whose mission is to ensure excellence in English language teaching to speakers of other languages, www.tesol.org. |
