Hi there! I hope you are all great!
I �m using a set of conversation cards in class. The topic dealt with is �Dating and marrriage �. I can �t figure out the meaning of the word �personals � in the following sentence:
Would you ever consider using the personals to find a date?

The personals refers to the part of a newspaper where people advertise themselves to meet new people, boyfriends or girlfriends. Check out Yahoo Personals or any other site that has them. http://personals.yahoo.com/
For example one might look something like this:
SWF (Single White Female) looking for jogging/hiking partner. Must be friendly and enjoy chatting.
