							| Hello everybody!   Can anyone tell me if there s difference between these expressions related to conversations.
To hog conversation drones on and on do all the talking   I believe all of them can mean "to manipulate the conversation, not allowing the other persons to speak".   they re from the book American Inside Out - unit 4   thanks a lot | 11 Apr 2010

							| You re right about the first and third phrases. To drone on and on is not necessarily in conversation, but any time a person talks without stopping, especially if he or she is boring.   To hog something is to take more than your share of it. Your spouse might hog the blankets in bed at night, or someone might hog the potatoes at dinner.   Bruce | 11 Apr 2010
