Hi,
I have a question about the abbreviation of the words : first , second �etc.
Where should we write st , nd for first and second ......?
Above the number or next to it ???? e.g. 1 st or 1st

next to the number: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 65th and so on

If you write it by hand, it is always above and to the right (like an exponent in Mathematics). If you �re doing it on the computer, you don �t have a choice, so you write "1st" and some software will leave it that way, and others will change it for you. It is correct either way.
