							| Question sentence Business English
 |
							| Hello everybody,
A student of mine used the following sentence yesterday:

"Could you send us a representative of your company next week?"

I m not sure if it is possible to use "send" for a person and in the context, that one company wants to learn more about another company and asks for a meeting with a (sales) representative.

A clarification would be greatly appreciated. :-)
 Thanks!
 Mietz

							| People get "sent to places all of the time. My boss sent me to the store or the warehouse.

							| Send and borrow A fellow teacher came into my class and asked if she could borrow   student. One of my students imediately asked if borrowing a human was possible. Yes it is, as is sending a person.   Many schoolchildren are sent to the principal each day.....and not for fun.   Criminals are sent to jail!   Cheers Joy | 28 Apr 2010
