							| Writing subtitles
 |
							| Hi everybody. I have sent this post before but I got no answer and then came the "forum armaggedon" and it disappeared so Ill make another try.                      As a project for students we want to make our own subtitles for some videos. Does anybody know how to do it? Im also interested in colouring these subtitles "karaoke-like", according to the reading pace. Can anyone give any ideas. I havent had time to look for tutorials on the net yet. | 14 Sep 2008

							| Hi, Marta. For adding subtitles there are many softs such as "Magix Video Studio". It was the best I ve ever tried. We can do what we like with a video sequence and even mount several seqs in one. We can add subtite tracks that appear at a specific point using many transition and color effects. We can aso add other audio tracks and many many other features. However, like any video processing prog it needs a performing PC. It is not easy but not that difficult to manpulate (it needs time). It is not cheap too.
Concerning the Karaoke feature, I am affraid I dont have any idea. But it is certain nothing is impossible in computing.
Hope this can help though partly or lead you towards better ideas.
 Regards.

							| Wow, Goodnesses, you seem an expert in all this technological stuff. Im still in the middle ages ! your recommendayion is going to be of great help, as it was that about a ppt minimizer and that about a text-to-voice converter. Now lets see if I can handle it. The colour effect( Ive called karaoke like) Im looking for is that in which letters get coloured progressively so that they guide our pace of speech. Thank you very much, youve saved me a lot of time. | 14 Sep 2008
