Coursebooks for beginners or elementary level

Hi dear friends! I hope you are all great!
I �d like to hear you suggestions for suitable coursebooks that I could use to teach a group of adults at elementary level (they may be beginners. I have to check their level).

I`ve tried all of them: Cutting Edge and English File + Total English, etc.
English File is definitely the best.

In my opinion FACE2FACE worked well with adults. As I can see there is a problem with the course website, but you can download a placement test suitable for the course here: http://www3.cambridge.org/elt/face2face/resources/placement-test/TestQuestions.pdf

We teach adults at our language college and our favourite is Cutting Edge. We also use Total English. Both of these also have Smartboard software but I don �t know if they have this software for all levels. Some people also favour New Headway.

I also recommend New English File - very teacher-friendly (goes with lots of additional materials) and students like it too
