I too would use either:
Please come to my house at 8pm.
Please come to my home at 8pm.
You could also say:
Come to my place at 8pm.

Hi,
You can use both; however, we make a distinction between a house and a home. We say, "A house is not a home unless there is love in it."

for the this expression i used to say so when i was at collage but one of my american friends told me that it has bad meaning if u say it like this {come to my house or home }
the good way is come to visit me not only come
but for the word house or home both r ok |
