							| Hello my friends again ,     I hope you are fine,      I am no more in Algeria, I live in  Canada now but I ll always keep my contact with this wonderful site and lovely friends.      So actually, I am supposed to pass many tests to get my teaching certification in English. Im really in need to know about these tests and their content .     In addition, although competency based method with its techniques is applied in our teaching system, but I still want to know more about it and class management  in canada                    I would be so glad and graceful .                                                                       Have a all a nice day    | 26 May 2010

							| Howdy,
This should be able to help:

I cut the link in half so that it doesnt stretch the page.  So copy and paste the whole link.
Check out the menu to the left for more information too.   It also depends on where you want to get your certificate.  There are different tests available.
I ve sent you a PM too.
 :)

							| Sorry, i only know what is expected in UK for teaching English. Most teachers here are having to take more qualifications as the ones they have are now becoming outdated. More and more pressure is put on ESOL/EFL Tutors to have full teacher status, whereas before a CELTA/ TESOL would be enough, now things are indeed changing. I personally think this is a good idea as it keeps teachers fresh. Certainly the British Council have very firm guidelines on what is acceptable. A PGCE/ subject specialism is highly recommended, with at least an effort to work towards advanced practitioner status. Our government does give a cash incentitive to encourage good teachers to become better. I have a PGCE/ and i am an advanced practitioner in language acquisition. I think the states and Canada are heading in a similar direction. Good luck on your endeavours. fIFEY
