I can�t agree more with you.
Sometime people are so enthusiastic about some events or so impressed by the beauty of some pictures that they forget (innocently) they are consuming too much space on the server and they are unwillingly preventing some new user (or others) from getting the appropriate and expected help/information. Because the larger in dimensions is the picture the more short messages preceding it it nudges out of the Front page of the site where they are more likely to be seen by those who want to help or contribute with their experience.
