In a bussiness context they are used with different nouns. For example you assess someones taxes , or assess the damage caused by something. Also a company īs accountancy books or files may be assessed by the taxation department. Evaluate is often used when a price is going to be made eg. to give an evaluation as to the value of a house or property.
