							| As far as I know it is correct to write like this: 
 There is a wardrobe, a sofa, a chest of drawers and a chair.
 There is a wardrobe, sofas, a chest of drawers and chairs.
 There are wardrobes, a sofa.....
 
 The most important thing , in this case, is the first word the goes right after "There is".
 If the word is in singular then it should be There is,
 if it �s in plural then There are..
 the rest of the words don �t matter so much.
