there are hundred sumbling blocks that hinders effecticive and effecive smooth learnig and teaching of enlglish as second lsangugae in third world countries this is more concrete in the african countires. poverty for sure is such one of the serious problems that hampers the naturing and nature of English langugae in our beloved continet. other problems includes lack of well prepared and qualified personel, lack of motivation among the existing staff already in the field.. and of course the spread of the killer HIVaids continues to create a brain drain not only in other fields and sectors but also i the field of education...thus not sparing the Faculty of langugaes( like english) in our institutions here in Africa... otherwise our hope as African still reighns high... Africa and Africans... here we go...! |
