Hello, I would like to know if you have some ideas about teaching present continuous to a 8 years old boy. you know grammar and so on.. I mean I teach teens and young adults but I do not know how to manage it with a little boy... what warm up should I use? what to do?? do you have any worksheets, idead PPts everything please!!!!!!

This is the actvity that I do. I prepare few sentences and I cut each sentence into seperate words. Then I put each cut sentece into an enevlope and the student chooses one envelope and tries to put the sentence together. If she/he gets it right he/she gets one point or whatever reward you like. Kids really like it and start notcing the pattern for present continuous quite quickly.
One more actvity that I do, but it �s maybe better for older kids. I show them a film and stop it few times. When the film is stopped I ask what they see on the screen e.g. The boy is playing football. etc. |
