hello!!!!
here Argentinian students usually wear a sort of coatlike garment that is buttoned at their back, as a kind of uniform, I really don �t know how to say guardapolvo in English.... can you help me?

Hi,
I �m not sure but it may be a school smock .In Spain we call it "babi" or "mandil�n".

If it �s coatlike or shirtlike, we call it a smock. Artists wear them, too, to protect their clothes.

It �s difficult to decide when this word isn �t used in English speaking countries as it �s used in Spanish speaking countries. I think that the most similar word is smock....
