							| no or not
 |
							| Hi dear collegues   It is the first time that I write, but I used to check this page daily, I think it s the best page I ve ever seen. Ok, my question is when to use NO in a sentence and when to use NOT, for example:     There is no wind, it s calm.   There isn t wind, it s calm.   And what is the reason of using No or Not in a sentence.
I know that you will disipel my doubts, thanks in advance.   hugs | 18 Sep 2010

							| Hi! erika,You re welcome to this community. the first example is correct, while the second, I think it s false. We say:there isn t any/much.It depends on wether the noun is countable or uncountable. I hope this helps | 18 Sep 2010
