							|   write a scenario    imagine that you have to teach some vocabulary associated with illlnesses eg headache, toothache, sore throat ect to a group of elementary students. how would you teach thses words and other ones related to it? how would you check that the students had understood? | 19 Sep 2010

							| Hi Sadoon, I think I have seen this same question before, or I m having a case of dejaVu... But anyway, try this site; Lots of information there. As for checking comprehension, well that s all part and parcel of teaching. A lot of illnesses or medical terms have similar sounds, spellings or meanings in many languages, but if they haven t in your students native tongue then what I would do is to fake each symptom you want to teach like headache, very easy to fake that one write the words on the board, have them repeat them and to check comprehension ask them to demonstrate as you did to show them in the first place.   Good luck! | 19 Sep 2010
