							| Help in grading oral expression
 |
							| Good morning to you all, hope you can help me: I have to grade students capacity concerning their oral expression. Does anyone know about a chart/topics on how to grade them?? What aspects should I evaluate?? Thanks in advance | 11 Oct 2010

							| Hi! I used to grade it like this: comprehension 1-5, fluency 1-5, vocabulary 1-5, grammar accuracy 1-5. And then I d add it all up. For example if my student got 5 points in comprehension, 4 in fluency and 4 in grammar, 5 in vocabulary, then overall he/she would get 5+4+4+5= 18; 18:4= 4.5. But perhaps someone s got a better system :) | 11 Oct 2010

							| Hi, I posted a simple rubric at http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=304955#thetop. I think is is pretty objective in that I count the number of words that are mispronounced, the number of pauses, repeats, etc. on the line and then convert the marks to excellent, good, etc. The space allows you to actually write the word that is mispronounced or repeated. I actually let the speaker fill out a form and a classmate as well as my filling out the form. I record all three grades. | 11 Oct 2010

							| Hi, We are using now a system related to the Common European Framework of Reference for languages. It s in Spanish but if you are interested, PM your email address and I ll send you samples of different levels.   | 11 Oct 2010
