							| dancing a tango, dancing the tango...I �ve heard it said both ways.. Dancing a tango as there are many different ones. Dancing the tango as opposed to dancing the twist, or the macarena. |  2 Nov 2010

							| It definitely needs an article, the, a or even a possessive could work if someone  had a particular way of dancing the tango (though such usage is rare and considered colorful or creative, though not wrong, inappropriate or ungrammatical. 
 Think of dance styles like swimming strokes. You swim the backstroke or the doggy paddle. You dance the tango or the tarantella or the alligator.
