I don �t recommend The Monty Hall Problem, because it uses faulty Mathematics. It ignores the fact that this is a conditional probability problem. The effects of switching depend on which door you chose first, so that probability has to be factored in to get the final probability of winning the car. It �s still a good English lesson, just a bad Mathematics lesson.

I didn �t realize that - I didn �t go into the maths of it too deeply, and the students seemed quite engaged with the lesson.
