							| Thoughts about teaching Technical English?
 |
							| Greetings Everyone, I have a some intermediate students, but we are using TechTalk Elementary, because this is suppose to be a "refresher" for them.  Anyway they find the book, too "elementary". Anyway, our next lesson is describing a project.  There are some pictures in the book that are to be put in order.  I was thinking I would make these pictures into flash cards and before we open the book, have them try to put the pictures in order.  I m really trying to make this as challenging for them as possible, but I ve got to use the book.  So I m trying to think of ways to get out of the elementary box, the book puts us in.   Any suggestions or comments are welcome!   Thanks in Advance, Belles | 28 Nov 2010

							| Hi anna   You can create your own activities beside the book s activities.  In UAE, for secondary school students, we are just using the book as a tool beside our own activities that would help our students to improve their English skills.  I mostly concentrate on speaking and writing because they need them a lot in their daily life.  Sometimes, I escape some of unnecessary lessons from the book and replace them with my own lessons.      Good luck | 10 Dec 2010
