							| Fast or quick?

							| Hi! Is a there a specific difference between "fast" and "quick"? Are they simply synonyms  or are they used in different contexts! Thanks for your advice! | 29 Dec 2010

							| well, they can be synonyms but still there is a slight difference: Fast refers to speed; sthg done at a high speed ex: "he was a fast runner" Quick refers to the amount of time sthg takes to be done;which is really short ex: "his response to the comment was quick" (it is sudden)
 I hope this helps Imane | 29 Dec 2010
