							| pronunciation question

							| I am sorry to bother you again with the same question but the answers you gave me are not very clear and the pronouncing dictionary by Daniel Jones gives a different answer: what is the pronunciation of the verb "change" in the third person singular (changes)? /z/ or /iz/ and why? You all said that it was /iz/ but the final sound  is not -ch, ss, sh, or x. Thanks in advance Yolanda | 15 Jan 2011

							| OK, thanks, it s clear now. I had never heard that the sound you write and I don t know how to write it here was like z, x ch, sh. I panicked when I looked it up in Daniel Jone s dictionary and thought that I had been mispronouncing it all my life. Yolanda | 15 Jan 2011
