My daughter has just finished her matric exams and although she passed all of them, she got a low pass in her Afrikaans (we haven �t been in South Africa for long) and so can �t get the points that she needs to do teacher training. She cannot re-sit the exam because of bureaucratic technicalities. She is wondering if she could instead study a diploma in tefl/tesl and use that as a bridging course towards her degree. She already has been offered a position as an assistant teacher and all of the children she will be working with have English as their second language. What I want to know is, is there a good, recognised online tefl/tesl course that you could recomend and how it is seen within the education systems.

Thanks aacg. She has registered with that course now. We didn �t want to waste money on courses which would not be recognised. There are so many on the internet.
Have you done this course and the follow up modules?
