							| Hi dear all,

could you help me, please. What s the difference between talk to/ talk with     go by bus/ go on the bus And one more question. Can I use Past Continuous with "last week/night.."? Thank you so much for your attention.  | 25 Jan 2011

							| if i say may i talk to Ana? , it means a one way conversation will take place.. me talking and Ana listening.. but when i say may i talk with Ana? , it means there will be a sharing of opinions between me and Ana (posted on http://www.english-test.net/forum/ftopic19865.html)

go by bus - I think I will go by bus. go on the bus - Sorry, I can t talk now because I m on the bus. (I m inside the bus.)
I think that you can use PC with last week/night... e.g. I was reading my Cosmopolitan last night. - but probably you haven t finished reading it
 I hope it helps :)

							| "Last night I was watching television while my children were doing their homework."   "Talk to"  can have a more directive meaning, but doesn t have to.   "On the bus" focuses more on the ride/experience and "by bus" on the mode of trasnportation/the move ment from one place to another-.   Not the greatest explanations, but I have to go into class now, sorry,   Douglas   EDIT: looks like Gossip girl and I were writing at the same time--shes right | 25 Jan 2011
